The Government has announced that from the 27th January 2022 England will move to plan A and there will be no legal requirement too wear face coverings. However the Government does suggest that you continue to wear face coverings in crowded or enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with people you don’t know. New measures have come into force as of the 30th November 2021 to target the spread of the COVID 19 Omicron Variant. Please visit Gov.Uk for a list of places where face coverings are compulsory. Here at Gregorys we are continuing with our safety measures wearing our face coverings socially distancing and taking a careful and balanced approach.

Here at Gregorys we are taking a careful and balanced approach and we will be continuing wearing our face masks and PPE as outlined by the UK Government. We are very much looking forward to welcoming our Guests back to Gregorys from May 17th 2021. With that in mind there will be a number of changes here at Gregorys in line with UK Government guidelines. We have completed our risk assessment and implemented measures in line with step 3 of the Governments roadmap to keep Guests and us safe. Covid 19 Statement Escaping The Everyday Responsibly And Know Before You Go
Step 3 of the Governments roadmap for reopening hospitality begins on May the 17th 2021. Keeping us all safe encouraging planning and booking ahead is all about us all working together ‘Escaping The Everyday Responsibility’ and ‘Know Before You Go.’ We have included our Covid19 measures so that you know what we have in place before your arrival. ‘Know before you go’ and ‘Escaping The Everyday Responsibly’ are the latest campaign toolkit focusing on Guests planning and booking ahead their own experiences when visiting York. It is hoped by Guests undertaking this they can seek out measures each visitor experience has in place beforehand. When booking direct with us we can supply a list of restaurants and cafes that are popular within our local community here on Bishyroad and in York too. Updated Measures In Place At Gregorys Guest House York Continuing From 30th November 2021 Stage 4 Of The UK Government Roadmap.
We will be undertaking pre arrival checks with all Guests the day before prior to their arrival and to avoid a queuing system at the front door every Guest will be asked for their arrival time.
Guests will be asked to sanitise their hands at certain key times of their stay as outlined by the signage in the hallway. Continuing with UK Government guidelines guests will be required to wash their hands on a regular basis from July 19th 2021 and to make their own personal judgement about wearing face masks and socially distancing as recommended by the UK Government.
Guests to be asked to visit Gov.Uk in the pre arrival text to ascertain where face coverings are mandatory before visiting Gregorys and exploring York.
Prior to arrival all Guest room keys and parking permits will be sanitised. Guests to be asked to drop their keys into a box on checkout for sanitising.
Upon arrival checkout and throughout a Guests stay we will be wearing our face masks and socially distancing.
Bedroom door signage to indicate to Guests that the room has been throughly cleaned and sanitised prior to check in.
Once Guests check in the staff will not enter the bedroom/bathroom until Guests have checked out.
All soft furnishings and stationary have been removed from the building.
All touch points in the building will be rigorously cleaned and sanitised at various set times throughout a Guests stay in line with UK Government guidelines.
PPE to be worn by staff at identified times in line with UK Government guidelines.
All our linen will be washed in line with UK Government guidelines.
Breakfast will be available in the ventilated dining room on an allocated time slot. Social distancing will be adhered to by us and Guests will be served their breakfast as per their selected option (no buffet service available.) Guests will be asked to deliver their breakfast menu option digitally prior to breakfast.
Breakfast to go can be offered to Guests if they have an early start.
